February 19 | Grooming Seminar - new date - February 19th When: 2-4PM on Saturday, February 19, 2011 |
March 12-13 | Breed Booth What: come share your love of your Havanese with the public When: 8AM- 4PM both Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13, 2011 Where: the Seattle Kennel Club dog show at Qwest Field Events Center More info: · This dog show is one of the most fun of the year with great vendors, herding demonstrations, agility competition, and plenty of opportunity to meet and greet all sorts of dogs at the breed booths sponsored by the local dog clubs · Our booth will require a lot of help from club members as we need Havanese and their owners to staff the booth in two-three hour shifts · Breeders, groomers, etc.: please send us your business cards as this year we will have a business card holder and not a year has gone by without several Havanese finding new homes because of this breed booth (what can we say, our breed sells itself!) |
May TBD | Spring Fling What: a lot of fun, reviewing of officer nominations for the club’s next year When: likely 11:30AM – 2:30PM on a Saturday or Sunday mid-month Where: Argus Ranch Facility For Dogs (http://www.argusranch.com/) Likely Agenda: 11:30AM – begin with Pasture Play so we get the wiggles out of the furry beasts 12:30PM – potluck lunch; chicken and drinks provided, please bring side dishes to share 12:50PM – during lunch, discuss officer nominations for year July 2011-June 2012 1:15PM – education session: topic to be determined ~1:45PM – games, games, and more games ~2:15PM – Pasture Play time reprised J |
June 10 | B-match Judge: TBD Where: The Fairgrounds in Puyallup (this is Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers show weekend) When: Friday evening, June 10, 2011 More info: · Because we are a specialty club, our B-match will be Havanese only · We would love to see as many Havanese dogs as possible, if you have never shown before, come anyway and bring your dog! |
June 10 or 11 | Annual Meeting What: dinner with other Havanese fanciers, annual report from the President, voting on the July 2011-June 2012 slate of officers, annual raffle, and other fun When: either Friday evening in conjunction with the B-match or Saturday evening Where: TBD |

About the CHC
Charter
The Cascade Havanese Club was formed in 2003 and accepted by the American Kennel Club and the Havanese Club of America in service to the greater Puget Sound area in the state of Washington. The Club is open to all who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes of the CHC. If you would like to join the Cascade Havanese Club, you can download our Member Application Form (PDF file) and send it to the club registrar. This form can be filled out using Acrobat Reader before printing, or you can print and fill it out by hand.
